Sanitised documents, or text you paste back in, are restored intact: the key file resolves every placeholder. It sits with you and nowhere else, optionally protected by a password.

The Pseudonymisierer steps in front of that: you carry on using the same services, they just get placeholders instead of real names. Document processing happens entirely on your own machine.

There is no server behind this that receives your documents. Processing and export write solely to the local file system, disconnect the internet and everything keeps running.

Sanitising always writes a copy (name_bereinigt.docx), and so does restoring. Your source file stays byte for byte as it was.

The key file is created locally, never transmitted, and optionally password-protected. Without it placeholders cannot be resolved, not by us either.

Rule-based detection instead of a black box: you see every finding with its context and decide for yourself. The optional local AI assistant only adds further suggestions, off by default.

The program warns you when your target folder syncs to OneDrive or Dropbox, and points out special-category Art. 9 data, before anything could leave the machine.

That is what the Pseudonymisierer is built for: personal data is replaced with placeholders before anything is passed on, you work with the sanitised copy, and you put the real data back afterwards. Whether your particular use is permitted is decided by your professional rules and your own assessment, not by the software. All processing, detection, sanitising, analysis and export, runs solely on your computer. There is no server that documents are sent to. You can disconnect the internet entirely and the program carries on unchanged.
Once the trial version is ready, you download it and use the full feature set for two whole months, with no account and no payment method. Only when you are convinced do you unlock the program, either as a one-time purchase or on a subscription.
Your original files are never altered, sanitising always produces a copy. The key file that resolves placeholders stays with you locally and nowhere else. Keep it safe: without the key file, restoring is not possible.
No. The program is rule-based at its core; processing your documents needs no internet, only the initial download does. A local AI assistant can optionally be switched on (off by default): it merely suggests further possible findings for you to confirm, and it too runs on your machine without sending data.
Only if you want one. Two routes are planned: buy once, keep the program permanently and receive all updates for two years. After that it keeps running unchanged, and you still get security fixes. On a subscription, updates are included throughout. Nothing forces you into a subscription.
